Real life

The gym, the pool, and sweat.

Men ask this before they ask about anything else, and usually assume the answer is no. It is yes. You can train, swim, and sweat in a system. What changes is small, but it is worth knowing before you commit rather than after.

Working out

Train normally. The bond is designed for a body that moves and sweats. Heavy sustained sweating does work an attachment harder over time, which shows up as a slightly shorter interval between maintenance visits, not as a system coming loose at the squat rack.

If you train most days, say so at your consultation. It changes what attachment we recommend, and that is a better conversation to have upfront.

Swimming

You can swim. Chlorine and salt water are both harder on hair than fresh water, which is true of your own hair as well, and they will age a unit faster if you do a lot of it and rinse it off nothing afterwards.

  • Rinse with fresh water afterwards, every time
  • Mention regular swimming at your consultation so it informs the build
  • Expect a slightly shorter maintenance interval if you swim most days

Heat

In Arizona this matters more than anywhere else we work. Sustained high heat is genuinely demanding on an adhesive bond. It does not prevent anyone from wearing a system, it just means the attachment method and maintenance rhythm should be chosen with the climate in mind instead of ignoring it.

Real work

This is what it looks like.

A real client from our chair, photographed before and after his hair system was installed and cut in.

Before and after: a client with thinning hair on top, then with a full dark textured crop after a custom hair unit was fitted and blended.

Questions, answered.

Can I sleep in it?

Yes. You live in it exactly like your own hair, including overnight.

Will it come off in the pool?

No. It is bonded to your scalp. Rinse with fresh water after chlorine or salt water and it is a non-issue.

Do I need to change my routine at the gym?

Not meaningfully. Train as you normally would. Heavy sweating may shorten your maintenance interval slightly, which we account for when we set it.
